TAE Fast Track Blended Delivery – 14 weeks

- Times of delivery: Every second Friday from 12.30-5.30pm (Online ‘LIVE’ Delivery & Recorded Lessons available through our portal)
- The course is blended (“flipped”). Participants must complete pre-course reading prior to course start. This is the Pre-Course Participant Workbook
Face to face/’LIVE’ or recorded Online contact hours are five hours per fortnight. With another five hours per week expected to be completed on the portal and on the Integrated Portfolio assessments.
What is the TAE course and who is it for?
This course covers the absolute essentials of designing a learning program, delivering training and assessing competence.
This course is for clients who need to transition to a new career in training, transition to a new role in your current career, looking to move into a new vocational area such as the delivery of micro credentials
What is the potential market?
- Secondary school teachers – particularly vocational subjects and OLNA. (VET in Schools)
- TAFE and RTO vocational trainers and lecturers
- University lecturers wanting to move into vocational delivery and micro credential delivery
- Stakeholders in higher education and vocational colleges who need to understand the AQF framework
- Teachers ’aides
- Volunteer trainers in literacy and numeracy
How is the course assessed?
- Assessment consists of the submission of an Integrated Portfolio which contains tasks that a) identify and meet the needs of learners, b) design session plans, c) deliver training, d) assess candidates, e) validate assessment and f) reflect on training.
- Assessment is designed to be relevant to your work role. We have designed it to adapt to your work situation. If no work situation is available, Phoenix will supply a simulated environment.
- All trainees and assessment candidates are provided to you by Phoenix.
- Integrated Assessment Portfolio to be completed within 6 months of the final session.
- Up to seven hours of one to one ongoing support/consultation from a Phoenix Tutor
What materials are included?
- Learner Manuals and all other resources are provided via the Phoenix portal for all units of competency.
What facilities are provided?
- Modern training room with advanced technology and comfortable seating. Tea and coffee.
- E Boards for practice training
- Extra ZOOM training
- 8 trainees for your Session A Delivery of training
- 5 trainees for your Session B Delivery of training
- 5 trainees for LLN+ assessments
